Ron Ross is a seasoned expert in strategic government relations with over 20 years of experience delivering success for his clients.
Most recently, Ron was tasked with the role of Chief of Staff to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade through a difficult pandemic period. He now focuses on delivering results for his clients with strategic insights, planning, and execution.
Ron is proud of his last government assignment – specifically his role in helping to rebuild and green the Ontario Auto Sector by helping the province secure over $16 billion in investment deals with major auto, EV battery, and parts manufacturers.
During his tenure as Chief, Ron oversaw the launch of the Ontario Life Sciences Strategy and assisted in the implementation of Ontario’s Advance Manufacturing Strategy and Critical Technologies Strategy. He also helped execute Ontario’s Driving Prosperity – Phase 2.
This recent assignment has bolstered the expertise and skill he has gained and honed over his 20-year career of helping clients develop successful government engagement strategies.
His clients also benefit from his sectoral and government knowledge from his previous roles as senior policy, communications, and political advisor, within various ministries including; Ontario Native Affairs Secretariat, Ministry of the Attorney General, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.
Ron’s achievement for clients has been acknowledged and celebrated. As the Associate Director of Communications for the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, his work on a government and public relations campaign earned him the Public Affairs/Government Relations Campaign of the Year Award and the Best Use of Media Award by the Canadian Public Relations Society. The mid-sized Association achieved a clear win against Canada’s largest and well-financed banking institutions. For his efforts, he was further honoured by being a finalist for the prestigious Best PR Campaign of the Year Award.
Ron studied Political Science at Laurentian University and has a three-year Public Relations and Communications Diploma from Cambrian College.
